The cultural ecology and Politics
The cultural ecology emerged as results of the work of Carl Sauer in geography and thinking in anthropology. The cultural ecology studied how humankind adapted to his nature environment. Continuity knowledge (sustainability) afterwards grew from this tradition. The ecology poltik rose when several geografer used the aspect of critical geography to see strength relations of nature and how his influence on humankind. For example, the study that was influential by Micahel Watts believed that hunger was in Sahel caused by the change in the political system and economics in the territory as results of colonialism and spread him the practice of capitalism.
The research risk-disaster
The research was in the disaster begun by Gilbert F. Withe, that tried understood why the person remained at the flood plain that was easy to be affected by the disaster. Since then, this field developed to multi discipline by studying the natural disaster (like the earthquake) and the technological disaster (like nuclear reactor baldness). Geografer that studied the disaster was interested in the dynamics of the disaster and how humankind and the community faced him.
